King’s Ely U11A put in an impressive performance in their triangular against Culford and Ipswich. Playing 15 minute matches King’s first came up against Culford. King’s Ely ran the ball well and organised themselves in defence to score a comfortable 35-0 victory with a hat trick for Quentin Mitchell. The second game, against Ipswich, proved to be a tough encounter with Ipswich scoring three early tries. However, the boys did not give up and came roaring back with two tries of their own. Keane Savage was then inches from equalising before Ipswich stole the ball and broke away to score a clinching try to win 20-10. The effort the 11A team put into this game made it their most impressive performance of the season to date and one to be proud of.
